Regional Commodity Manager Castings & Metals & Electronics (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • You represent the interests of Vibracoustic for the Commodity group Metals / Electromechanics, Electronic Components and PCBa in the region EU
  • You are responsible for performing market analysis of indices, technologies, suppliers’ financial risk and providing information to internal stakeholders
  • You do research and scout supply market for a given commodity in the best cost countries and lead their onboarding according to the automotive requirements
  • Prepare and roll out regional commodity strategy in alignment with the global commodity manager, define and maintain supplier portfolio, and actively drive the strategy throughout the region
  • You fulfill material cost savings targets through negotiation, directing new/existing business awards, and supporting VA/VE activities
  • You negotiate annual contracts and agreements with portfolio suppliers as well as settling delivery & payment terms/ incoterms
  • You are responsible for the reporting of purchasing performance results and setting up ERP System in terms of pricing, surcharges, etc.

Qualifications

  • You have profound experience in the field of purchasing/ as a commodity buyer, especially in the automotive area
  • Your degree in engineering/ Business Administration, or comparable, is a plus
  • You have very good knowledge of purchasing and automotive processes
  • Your personality is characterized by strong negotiation skill and you work independently
  • You enjoy business travel and networking, preferably to suppliers
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and good in German
